The sale is located at Dobbs Hall Farm, Croft on Tees, Darlington, North Yorkshire, DL2 2TG

Start Time: To commence at 11am prompt

Viewing: The sale may only be viewed on Wednesday 26th October between 10am - 4pm and on the morning of the sale from 8am onwards. Other times by appointment with the auctioneers only.

Refreshment: Available on the day of the sale.

Hours/Mileage: The numbers and figures stated in the catalogue are believed to be correct at the time of cataloguing. These are for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers.

Value Added Tax: VAT at 20% will be payable on all lots in addition to the hammer price or unless otherwise stated. No VAT on vintage items.

Buyers Premium: Buyers Premium is payable in addition to the hammer price at a rate of 5% plus VAT.

On-line Bidding: Live bidding is available through i-bidder.com, an additional 3% plus VAT surcharge is added to the hammer price for successful on-line bidders.

Conditions of Sale: Addisons Chartered Surveyors standard conditions of sale are included in the catalogue. All potential purchasers should read these and make sure they fully understand them before bidding. Bidding will act as acceptance of these conditions.

Money Laundering: Subject to the Money Laundering Regulations 2003 we will not be able to accept cash payment for sums in excess of £7,500. 

Liability/Risk: The bidder is reminded that the vendors will not accept responsibility or liability for the loss or damage of goods once the hammer falls and that they become the responsibility of the purchaser. All lots are sold as seen without warranty and purchasers should satisfy themselves prior to the sale as to the condition and description of each lot, no guarantees are given.

Method of Payment: Any lot purchased must be paid for on the day of the sale and must not be removed or handled by the purchaser until payment is cleared, this includes VAT and commission to the auctioneers.

All prospective purchasers not known to the auctioneers must provide a bank reference prior to purchasing. Payment may be made by a bankers draft, cheque with guarantee card/bank reference or by card payment on the day. Credit Cards will be subject to an additional charge on the invoice total. We do not accept American Express.

Removal of Lots: All lots must be removed by no later than 5pm Thursday 3rd November 2016. Mechanical loading will be available on the day of the sale and between 10am and 4pm on the 28th and 29th October 2016. Beyond this please contact the auctioneers on 01833 638094.

 

Terms & Conditions

CONDITIONS  OF  SALE

1. All prospective purchasers to make themselves known to the Auctioneers prior to the sale time, giving their full name, trading title, address and contact telephone numbers.

 

2. All prospective purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must provide a BANK  REFERENCE  PRIOR TO PURCHASING.  No cash transactions over £7,500 sterling will be accepted.  Payment may be made via a  BANKERS  DRAFT,  CHEQUE WITH  GUARANTEE  CARD/BANK REFERENCE.

 

3.The highest bidder to be the Purchaser (but the Auctioneers reserve the right of refusing any bid) and if any dispute arises at the last bid, the Lot to be put up again or the Auctioneers may name the Purchaser.

 

4. The Auctioneers to fix the rate of bidding.

 

5. All descriptions, either written or verbal, are for guidance purposes only.  The Auctioneers or vendors will not be held responsible for the accuracy of any such description.  All lots are sold with all faults and errors of description.  Purchasers must satisfy themselves prior to sale of a Lot as to the condition of each Lot and should exercise and rely on their own judgement as to whether the Lot accords with its description.

 

6.The Auctioneer, as agent for the vendor, reserves the right to bid up to the reserve price where set on any Lot.

 

7.At the fall of the hammer the PURCHASER will take full responsibility for the Lot.  The Lot may not be removed from the sale premises before payment is made.

 

8. No person will be allowed to remove any of the Lots without a pass for the removal of Lots.

 

9. Failure, on behalf of the purchaser, to pay for any Lot(s) will result in a resale.  Any deficit or costs incurred will be the responsibility of the original purchaser.

 

10. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that all plant machinery or equipment complies with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 before such items are used at a place of work.

 

11. The Auctioneers will not be responsible for injury, damage, or loss caused or sustained by any person on the Auctioneer’s premise or any site where the auction is held unless the same shall be caused by the direct negligence of the Auctioneers.

 

12. The vendor and the Auctioneers as the vendor’s agent retain all titles in any Lot until all purchase monies have been paid in full.  Outstanding monies will be charged at an interest of 4% above Bank Base Lending Rate.

 

13. The Auctioneers wish to draw to the attention of the purchaser that VAT at the current standard rate will be charged unless otherwise stated.

 

14. In all cases of transfer, the original purchaser shall be responsible for purchase money.

 

15. All persons entering the sale site do so at their own risk. All vehicles parked at the sale are at the owners risk.
