Information

Mo Farah arrived in the UK at the age of 8 from a war torn Somalia and is therefore acutely aware of many of the harsh realities faced by the people in East Africa. He is also someone who has direct links to the area through immediate family and is still a regular visitor.

The crisis facing the Horn of Africa is a recurring issue of which is very close to Mo’s heart and as a result he founded and created the Mo Farah Foundation.

We at the Mo Farah Foundation are committed to providing aid to those most in need in the immediate short term and foreseeable future.

Our short term aid objectives are to supply essential lifelines such as maize, cereal and drinking water.

Looking to the long term, we aim to provide and maintain community water wells, crop seeds for agricultural farming and the tools to sustain this essential way of life.
