All Lots are sold as seen. Watches are therefore not deemed to be sold in working condition unless specifically stated in the Lot particulars. Absence of reference thereof in the description does not imply that the Lot is in good working condition and without defects, or has been subject to repair, restoration or customisation (including any stone settings and aftermarket/ generic part additions or replacements - i.e parts not made by the original manufacturer).
CNA Ltd makes no representation or warranty that any watch is in working order. As watches often contain fine and complex mechanisms, bidders should be aware that a general service, change of battery or further repair work, for which the Buyer is solely responsible, may be necessary. 
Most watches are likely to have been repaired or in some cases modified in the past, and as a result may include parts that are not Manufacturer original thereto. 
A report or appraisal may be issued by a third party, providing with detailed information on the condition of the Lot and any modification applied thereto. CNA Ltd will not be held accountable for any report or appraisal discrepancies. Viewings are welcomed for your own peace of mind and for any checks prior to bidding.

GEMSTONE TREATMENT & ESTIMATES

Many gemstones on the market have been subject to treatments/ culturing. Treatments under the present section may be but not limited to: enhancements / heating / coating / culturing etc.
Estimates provided by CNA Ltd are deemed to be based on the fact that the gemstone may have been subject to any type of treatment in the past. CNA Ltd shall not be responsible in the absence of mention thereof. 
A certificate may be issued by a laboratory, providing with detailed information on the condition of the gemstone and any treatment applied thereto. The Buyer must be aware that different laboratories have different approaches as to the degree, accuracy or type of treatment for a particular gemstone. 
If a certificate accompanies the Lot, the Buyer must be aware that it is merely a statement of the laboratory or third parties opinion and in no way can CNA Ltd be held responsible for any mentions therein. Such certificates are deemed to be delivered with the Lot for informative purposes only. Viewings are welcomed for your own peace of mind and for any checks prior to bidding.

 

Terms & Conditions

 

1. The highest bidder of each lot shall be the purchaser thereof. If any dispute arises as to the highest bidder, the Auctioneer shall determine the dispute and may put up again and re-sell the lot in respect of which the dispute arises.

 

2. (a) The bidding and advances shall be regulated by and at the discretion of the Auctioneer.

 

(b) Where an agent purchases on behalf of an undisclosed client such agent shall be personally liable for payment of the purchase price to the Auctioneer and for safe delivery of the lot to the said client.

 

3. The Auctioneer reserves the right before or during the sale to group together lots belonging to the same vendor, or split up and/or withdraw any lot or lots.

 

4. Each lot shall be at purchaser’s risk from fall of hammer and must be taken away at his or her expense by a purchaser.

 

(a) If Online, Then payment must be received as set out under the auction terms.

 

(b) United Kingdom, immediately on receipt of pro forma invoice.

 

(c) Overseas, within seven days of receipt of pro forma invoice.

 

On no account will lots be released before payment. If any purchaser fails to pay in full for any lot within the said time such lot may at the Auctioneer’s discretion be put up for Auction again or sold privately; if upon such a re-sale a lower price is obtained for such a lot than was obtained on the first sale the difference in price and expense of such a re-sale shall be made good by (and debt due from) the purchaser in default upon the first sale.

 

5. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any default of the purchaser or vendor.

 

6. Unless otherwise indicated each lot is sold as genuine and properly described, Clowes nash auctions ltd will not be held responsible for any

mis-described items, all items are sold as seen and should be inspected prior to online bidding to satisfy the buyer of the said condition.
