GENERAL SALES INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE REGISTER TO BID BY 3pm 26th SEPTEMBER AS WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AUTHORISE BIDDERS AFTER THIS TIME.

1. Location & Directions - Please refer to the location plan reproduced at the rear of the catalogue on our website.  Cooper & Tanner “To The Sale” signs will be posted locally on the day of sale.    

2.   Parking - Parking facilities will be provided.  Visitors to the sale are requested to use these as directed and under no circumstances to obstruct the highway.

3.   Sale Conditions - The Auctioneers will sell under their usual Conditions of Sale a copy of which is available.

4.   Viewing – From 9.30am on the morning of sale.

5.   Details as shown in this catalogue were prepared from information as at July 2022.  Any revision or additional information and update of records will be announced from the rostrum at the time of sale. Some lots may be substituted and be other than the lot described in the sale catalogue.

6.   Purchasers must satisfy themselves as to any modifications to original specifications that may have been made to any vehicle or machine prior to purchase.

7.   Buyers Registration - On Site Purchasers must obtain a buyers number prior to the sale which will be available at the site Sales Office from 9.30am morning of sale.  All intending Purchasers are asked to bring at least one form of proof of identification and address (eg Drivers Licence, Utility Bill, etc) to enable correct registration.

8.   Buyers Premium  Buyers premium of 5% plus VAT will apply to all lots with a cap of £200/lot.  There is an additional buyers premium of 4% plus VAT charged on lots purchased online via i-bidder.com

9.   VAT & Payment   The main vendor is registered for VAT.  Included lots from other vendors may also be subject to VAT therefore where applicable VAT will be added at the standard rate to the hammer price at the time of invoice. VAT receipts will be issued upon payment.    All lots must be paid for in full on the day of the sale and at the latest within one hour of the conclusion of the auction.  For purchasers who do not already have a Cooper & Tanner Registration Card, payment may be made by CASH or DEBIT CARD (not credit card).  Cheques will only be accepted provided clearance has been arranged with the Auctioneers Office at least three working days PRIOR to the sale.  Payment in CASH (£ sterling up to a MAXIMUM of £5,000 on the day). 

Non UK purchasers – All items will be sold subject to VAT at the standard UK rate which will be added to the hammer price and must be paid at the time of purchase.   If you intend to export your lots we must be informed at the time of purchase.   The VAT amount will then be held as a deposit for up to 2 months from the auction date during which time evidence which meets current criteria must be received and will include original copies of the relevant Export Lodgement Advice, a satisfactory Bill of Lading or Certificate of Shipment clearly identifying the goods and confirmation of delivery to the Purchaser’s address.   If acceptable documents are not received in time or they are insufficient, the VAT Deposit will be paid over to HMRC as VAT and not recoverable by the purchaser.

10. Responsibility for Lots Purchased - Buyers become entirely responsible for their purchases immediately at the fall of the hammer.

11. Clearance and Collection - No lots to be removed until paid for.  Once a valid purchase receipt has been issued lots may be removed during the sale provided this does not cause any disruption to the conduct of the auction. Buyers to remove all purchasedfixed equipment at own expense and insurance.  Unless otherwise stated, all lots to be removed by Tuesday 4th October 2022.  A Loader will be available after the sale (sale day only).

12. Commission Bids - The Auctioneers will be pleased to execute commission bids on behalf of purchasers providing they are given to the Auctioneers in writing prior to the commencement of the sale.  Commission Bid Forms will be available from the Sale Office.

13. Health & Safety: Please acknowledge the Health & Safety signs and measures requested. 

14. Liability: The Auctioneers accept no liability for damage or injury to person or persons or goods entered and all enter the machinery ground at their own risk.

15. Refreshments - Light refreshments will be available.

NB: Smaller lots will commence at 11am in the sale field.  Online bidding will be available alongside bidding in the sale field on those lots listed as from approximately 12pm.
